週末は、Ust経由でnoreturnをやってしまおうという、楽しげな試みで内輪で遊んでおりました。元々、noreturnは渋谷で始まって、今もイベントは渋谷でやるのですが、実はメンバーは札幌・静岡・沖縄・富山・長野・・・と結構バラけています。そんな中でDJイベントとして継続していくのは結構大変だったりします。
Ustを使えば、DJもお客さんも友達もみんな楽しめるね。。。09年にその存在を知った時から計画していまして、先週ようやく実現しました。
【Ustで著作権で保護されている楽曲をかけてしまうのは、良心のある人なら誰でも、まあ何かと問題があることは分かっており、避けられないのですが、その辺を話すと、どこかのTwitterでやっているような議論が起こって話が物凄く複雑に長くなります。僕のスタンスは、なるべく自分の知り合いの方には迷惑をかけない方針で。これが僕の出来る範囲です。本当は、全曲自分のリミックスで、原曲の作家さんに全部許可を取り、ささやかなる宣伝などをリターンすれば僕自身はそれで面白いと思う。これはメジャーではとても難しいけど。そう思いながら前回はとりあえず自分のトラックと一部Remixを中心にかけさせてもらいました。次はどうしようかな。】
リアルのnoreturnの時よりも沢山お客さんが居たりしてしまったり、放送事故があったりと、ハラハラしましたが、聞いてくださった方は結構楽しんでもらえたのかなと思いました。
また唐突に、ノー告知でやろうと思いますので見かけた方はどうぞ、楽しんでいってください。可能性としては、土曜日が多いでしょう。
プラス、5月8日夕方に、UNDERBARでリアルなnoreturn016を予定しています。とりあえず予定を空けておいてくださいね。

Through the Ust, I broadcast a noreturn event with other members from each homes this weekend. We started noreturn at Shibuya and basically play at there, but we separately live now, from Hokkaido to Okinawa, so it’s a bit difficult to gather to hold the music party. But Thanks for Ust, we can easily enjoy playing and listening to our selections. Actually I’ve had a plan to do it by using Ust since 2009 when I found this service. It finally came true this weekend.
I think playing records through Ust without permission can infringe their copy right and have some trouble, you know. It’s a complicated issue and I have lots of opinion about it, but I don’t want to debate it now like someone does on twitter. My policy about it is basically not to bother them. I don’t want to lose their trust on me. It’d be the best to play only my remix after getting permission from them who wrote original ones and give them a bit return as advertising their songs. It’s impossible in major music but possible in indie one. That’s why I centrally played my tunes and remix by Ust at that time. I’m wondering how do I play next time.
I was embarrased because the broadcast suddenly stopped with having some PC trouble, but lots of guests more than I expected came to have a listen to it. Hope them to enjoy our play.
